An immaculate self contained lodge In outstandingly beautiful surroundings. This AirBnB is hard to do justice to without either running out of characters. So, a summary. Set behind automatic door to which one is given a fob, a gravel driveway leads you to your own private parking spot. Wildlife abounds, then there’s the alpacas, the chickens, goats, and yes an obligatory peacock! Total privacy for bathing in the hot tub. No background light to spoil the view of the sky, and yes, on our stay some impressive shooting stars. I’m not a fan of fishing in this country, but a private and well stocked lake was clearly a draw for some other guests. So in my mind a hot tub requires a certain amount of privacy and subdued lighting. Big ticks on all scores. Big tick too for the kitchen. I may not fish, but I’m a chef. Everything one needs to produce a perfect steak, or a roast. Plenty of utensils, great non stick pans. Also a welcome pack of essential luxuries. And now I’ve reached the word limit

The Lodges were immaculate. Everything you required was provided for us and nothing was too much trouble. the setting was tranquil and only 15 minutes by car to Cambridge, or 5 minutes to park and ride.Don't normally bother to give reviews, but felt as these lodges are an exception. Will definitely be coming back and recommending to family and friends!!

This is our third visit and we have already booked again for next month. I cannot recommend this place enough. Cabin superb, views amazing, everyone so friendly and always there to answer a question or just chat. It's the most amazing place we have ever stayed in. Everyone we bring with us feel the same. Roll on September, looking forward to another visit 😊

This lodge was an amazing stay. I stayed with my daughter and her spouse while attending a local festival nearby. The cabin was comfortable and stocked with everything we needed for a three night stay. We had two comfy bedrooms and two bathrooms. Soaking tub was wonderful and the sunsets and sunrises from the patio overlooking the lake and wildlife and the hot tub was the perfect way to unwind after a long flight from the US and walking the festival each day. The owner greeted us on arrival and showed us around as well as provided staples such as bottle waters, milk, bread, juice and biscuits as well as coffee and butter. Kitchen was well equipped and fully stocked with dishes and utensils. We loved seeing the goats and feeding the ducks each day. Plenty of space to park our full size SUV rental car. Coffee shops and grocery store nearby. We enjoyed our stay— it was perfect and I’d love to come back!

We had the most beautiful weekend, This is our forth time staying at the lodge, it is a beautiful and very well organised place and the owners and their team are incredibly friendly and helpful.The view of the lake is stunning, taking it all in while enjoying the hot tub.Everything about it here is just 10/10, we will be back very soon! We stayed in the Pembroke Lodge and the Chalet was immaculate and had everything you would need. We stayed for 4 nights but you will be more than equipped to spend a week here. You can travel light as all bedding, towels and toiletries are provided. There are even bathrobes for when you come out of the hot tub! There was a fully stocked fitted kitchen with all the appliances you need to cook a family meal. The bathrooms are spacious and the bedrooms are lovely and cosy. We sat on the patio for hours, with an evening tipple, just looking at the views. :)The grounds are brimming with wildlife, Ducks, Geese, Donkey's, and even a Peacock! This is an idyllic, tranquil place to stay with beautiful views. We requested to stay an extra night which was arranged by Sharon with no bother. The check in was easy with a code to access the main gate entrance. All of the on-site staff were helpful and friendly. We will definitely be returning to Waterside Lodges.

What a beautiful place to stay. Owners were really helpful in planning the trip, very responsive. Arrangements for arrival were straightforward and we could communicate easily whilst there. Owners left us a sweet little hamper and accommodation was spotless. Stunning setting and lots of animals around. Would highly recommend.

This is about our 6th visit to the lodge and again it never disappoints.Such a lovely chilled weekend.The men managed to catch 5 carp between them so they were very happy. The owners were very accommodating and friendly which makes all the difference. Prime location if You want to take a trip into Cambridge. Although we spend lots of time in Cambridge visiting our mum so was happy to just relax and enjoy the lodge, hot and fishing.Already looking at our next break.Thank you.

I recently stayed at the lodges with 3 friends for New Year. This place is amazing, I love it! It's our second visit & we will definitely be back. Sharon has thought of everything, it's like home from home. It was lovely that there was a christmas tree up, so pretty. I found the bed too hard for so asked Sharon if she happened to have a mattress topper, within 10 mins there was a knock at the door with a topper, next nights sleep was perfect. I love everything about this place. The hot tub is lovely, they even provide robes for the hot tub. Kitchen has everything you need to cook meals. The views from the lodge are amazing, nothing like relaxing in the hot tub looking over the lake to those views. I honestly can't fault one thing about this place. I love it and can't wait to return!

The lodge was incredible, so thoughtful with the kind gifts and decor as we had just got married, we loved seeing the animals feeding the ducks, going in the hot tub and using the games room we’ve been before and knew it was the perfect place for a few nights after our wedding to soak it all in , will be visiting again for sure thanks to all at waterside lodges !x

This a beautiful and very well organised place and the owners and their team are incredibly friendly and helpful.My children loved seeing all the animals and feeding the ducks that come to say hello in the morning.The view over the lake from the lodge is just stunning, and even better from the hottub.Definitely a great place for a romantic weekend, for a family to have some fun closer to nature or for some remote working with a special view.

Such a beautiful, tranquil place to relax...and explore Cambridgeshire. The lodge was immaculately presented with a very usable outside area , hot tub and outside dining on the decking with views of the lake..didn't want my holiday to end. Visited Cambridge,(Park and ride was an excellent facility)Ely (magnificent Cathedral) and St Ives (peaceful riverside) which were all truly beautiful and historic. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a touch of luxury to do their own thing in Camdridgeshire.

We had the most beautiful weekend. The place is just perfect to get away from it all and chill. For us we couldn’t fault it. Plenty of time spent in the hot tub. And the donkeys and goats etc are so lucky to live there and be loved by someone who obviously cares about them. Just fantastic!!!

Such a beautiful place!Tranquil setting with amazing view of a beautiful lake from your patio area which has a huge luxury hot tub. The lodge was absolutely perfect, they really have thought of everything.Some really friendly animals on site-goats, donkeys & alpacas. Agreat equipped games room for all.We do have problems finding places for my autistic son but as soon as we turned up here he had a wonderful time. Would definitely recommend and we will definitely visit again.

We had a wonderful stay at waterside lodges, our second visit and it won’t be our last.Great fishing, and fab accommodation, and you always get a warm welcome from everyone. We loved seeing how the animals had grown and the ducks visiting for a chat and of course a snack! The lodges are very well equipt and the welcome hamper with bubbles is perfect. We’ve had a lovely short break at Waterside Lodges.The lodge had everything we could’ve wanted - a real home from home.We spent a gorgeous few days fishing on the lake and the hot tub was just what we needed to relax and watch the sunset in the evening.There’s an amazing abundance of wildlife all around too.It’s ideally located for a day out in Cambridge, and there’s some fabulous local shops too - Longhorns farm shop is a must for BBQ supplies and cakes.This is our second visit and suspect it won’t be the last.

So nice from start to finish. From booking to leaving. All so easy and straight forward.Our accommodation was really good. With lots of little extra touches that made it special.A welcome basket was a really lovely touch.If I was a little picky, the beds were too hard for us all, but that’s a personal choice.The outdoor patio furniture a little tired.But this did not take away the excellent experience we all had. Hot tub so special with the beautiful view.The ducks, donkeys, goats etc was also lovely to talk to and feed.We used the games room even though my daughters are 27 & 22. We still had a lot of fun with a bit of family competition 😂I would definitely recommend this holiday home to my friends and would stay again, we loved it.Thank you.

Where do I start so many good things to say.... We absolutely loved our stay at the lodge. Sharon has thought of everything. The lodge is beautifully decorated. The kitchen is well equipped & has everything you need. The hot tub is a lovely touch, sitting chilling looking out to the beautiful views! They even provide robes for the hot tub. Beautiful spot on edge of the lake, the lodge was perfect ,very clean and extra touches that made it very welcoming. Lovely having a hot tub on the verandah watching the sun set and ducks and geese wandering round and lovely seeing donkeys and goats in the nearby paddock. Will definitely return thanks

We booked Homerton Lodge for a full week and only wish we could of stayed even longer, on arrival the lodge was very clean andequipped with sufficient items like toilet rolls, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets to last us for our stay. Both bedrooms were very large with zip and link beds made up as pre-requested as king beds, 1 small clothes cupboard for dresses, longer skirts and trousers and then a large set of drawers for other items along with bedside drawers. The open plan living, dinning and kitchen had a large kitchen table (if anything too large for 4 people so took up a little too much space)2 x 2 seater settees and a lovely electric fire, kitchen was well equipped as we stayed for a week and did cook some nights a little extra worktop area would of been perfect but still just enough. The outside decking area had the hot tub which was very well maintained and not over chemically as we have experienced in hot tubs in other accommodation we have stayed in so we used that far more than we expected too. The animals were all adorable donkeys, goats, lamas, kid, ducks and geese. There is a few small bags of made up food left for you to feed the animals and we as asked left a few ponds for the food, The whole team of staff are lovely, we met Sharon the owner and she introduced us to David who looks after the animals and grounds he is a workaholic and such a lovely person, he brought fresh eggs to us and the gas bbq he answered any questions we had he is a real asset to Waterside Lodges. There is a laundry room with 2 washing machines and 2 tumble drying machines and also use of a washing line (used own washing products). Lastly the games room it’s brilliant we spend many an hour playing table tennis, darts, pool and snooker and the equipment is first class. The WiFi in Homerton was also fine. Would we stay again yes in a heart beat. THANKYOU so much Waterside Lodges.

This was our second visit and it was as amazing as the first.We are coming back in August too - we love it so much.Everything is just perfect.The lodges are wonderful and extremely well equipped.The hot tub is pure luxury and there are so many little touches that make it that step above.....The fishing is good, hard - but when you do catch them, the fish are in such amazing condition.So well looked after.The team do a fantastic job in keeping things so tidy and clean.The animals are lovely and all so healthy and happy. The games room is an added bonus.This place is simply the best!!!!!

I stayed in the Trinity Lodge Friday 10th - Sunday 12th February with 3 friends. We had a great time. The lodge was fully equipped with everything we needed and more. Everything was immaculately clean and the lodge smelt really nice which is always a promising welcome. Loved the shower gel so much that I'm now looking to order the same one for home! Hot-tub was a winner for us and stayed heated throughout our whole stay. We loved being woken by the sounds of the animals each morning who seem really well looked after. No complaints at all. We will be returning! Thanks for a great stay.

We booked the lodge for a girls weekend away and have never made such good use of accommodation. We cooked every night, used the hot tub and chilled completely. The beds are really comfy, rooms have everything we needed. Loved our stay

We decided to try and book a last minute weekend getaway- and we are so glad we found this place! Absolutely beautiful. The lodge was clean and practical, and the little hamper on arrival was very much appreciated! My little boy loved seeing all of the farm animals, and the lake view from the hot tub was just lovely. We will definitely be back in the future!

Stayed over new year, lovely hamper to greet us, 4th time we have been here, so quiet, peaceful, relaxing which is why we come back, do close to Cambridge for a nice day out, hot tub is always superb, any questions or queries are always answered quickly, they also put on a lovely fireworks display on New Year’s Eve which was superb, already looking to come back this year,

Very easy to get to, instructions from Sharon with codes to enter and get keys were spot on. I cannot fault the place. As soon as we got there we felt at home. We could smell the cleanliness as soon as entering the lodge, loved the little touches of Christmas tree, and additional decorations. Everything you could want in the kitchen (we bought some essentials, but wasn't needed) even a sandwich toaster was provided! comfy bed and useful sofa bed in lounge, lovely soft 3 piece towel sets for each guest, hot tub towels, fresh coffee, toiletries....the list goes on!We have stayed at another lodge in Cambridge, but this one far surpassed its facilities and our expectations, like the welcome hamper with Proscecco - Thanks Sharon :-) It was a very relaxing stay, peaceful, wonderful outlook, great size hot tub (pre heated and ready to go!). We even braved the cold to say hi to our four legged neighbours, Alpacas were very curious and posed well for photos. The kids thoroughly enjoyed their stay and we will most certainly be returning, hopefully in the summer to make full use of the outdoor area i.e. bbq!

We've come a hand full of times now and eveytime is just as great as the last time.The lodges are well equipped with all good finishing touches and latest mod cons. Perfect weekend away for an end of busy year to relax, unwind and chill in the hot tub looking over a peaceful setting of the lake. Can't fault it, will definitely be booking again and will reccomend. Thank you

We stayed from Friday - Monday as we were getting married on the Saturday. Sharon was so welcoming and accommodating. All of the staff were amazing. The accommodation was so special, we had the best weekend ever and we hope to return sometime in the summer. Thank you so so much to waterside lodges xx
